With experience that spans the legal spectrum, from bankruptcy to personal injury, Stephen Mengis currently focuses his practice on civil litigation for both defendants and plaintiffs. A graduate of Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Stephen has a thorough understanding of both civil and common law, allowing him to analyze issues from multiple angles. Stephen’s varied experience and education ensures he can focus on the part of law he truly enjoys: helping the client.

Stephen Mengis was admitted to the State Bar of Louisiana in 2014, and the State Bar of Texas in 2015. Stephen is licensed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Other Distinctions:

Stephen Mengis is an active member of the Texas Bar Association, as well as the Houston Young Lawyers Association. As an Eagle Scout, Stephen understands the value of service to others. Throughout law school, Stephen interned with several well-respected Baton Rouge law firms, most notably Gordon Arata, at which he co-authored a bankruptcy seminar paper with a former bankruptcy court judge, the Honorable Louis Philips.
